Maeve Aerospace BV is creating a fully electric aircraft and strives for emission-free aviation. Maeve is based in the YESDelft Incubator at the TU Delft Campus in the heart of aviation in the Netherlands. With a team of innovative aerospace engineers from around the world, working hard to crack the code to make fully electric flying possible.

Product

The Maeve 01 is the world's first fully electric commuter plane for the mainstream aviation market. The electric plane is suitable for 44 people and can fly up to 550 km. Charging time is estimated at around 35 minutes with a battery that needs to be replaced annually.

The goal

During the development phase, only a technical model was available. The design was not fully developed and Maeve was looking for a way to convince the public and potential investors of their innovation. That's why Maeve asked us to work with them on a strategy to visualize their ideas.

Our solution

We created a set of realistic images and animations. Together with Maeve, we drew up a plan, based on the technical model, to decide which parts were needed in which phase.

We brought the technical model to life by using a high-end and realistic feel with different environments. As the design was not fully developed yet, texturing the model was a challenge. Within that tension, we focused on the visuals while Maeve was able to focus on developing their innovation.

outcomes

Inspired by our work in the previous phases, Maeve asked us to make a big reveal video. In addition, we recommended making three teasers to create interest via social media for the public unveiling in January 2022. With each teaser, we added more light and slowly unveiled the video week by week.

To ensure that Maeve has the right material for various purposes, we created and make a variety of deliverables. In addition to the full length animation, we made social shorts, clickable loops, stills and stills in 4k. With the rebranding (from Venturi Aviation to Maeve Aviation), we have also given all materials a new look.
