Westfalia Fruit, recognized as the Avocado experts, is a leading multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related products to international markets. With their vertically integrated supply chain, they grow, ripen, pack, process and market quality avocados and complementary products throughout the year and around the world.

Product

Westfalia Fruit attaches great importance to a sustainable supply chain. Their purpose is to do good in everything they do. They believe in: growth of people, economies, communities, partners and products. As guardians of the environment and the communities in which they operate, Westfalia Fruit works hard to ensure the well-being of the earth. For them it is important to convey this message to the world. Which asks for the right tools in their communication strategy.

The goal

It is important for Westfalia Fruit that they have the right resources with which they can communicate well about sustainability. They want to inform, inspire and convince their target group that they produce avocados while having a positive impact on the world. In addition, these products can also help make consumers feel great when they eat an avocado.

Our solution

We have collaborated closely with Westfalia Fruit on this project. Starting with the development of animated content and a storyline for an interactive dedicated sustainability page. This content tells a coherent story through triggers (scroll actions). We were part of a team of agencies that worked together to create the webpage. Plusdrie created the design of the website, Press Play was responsible for the development of the experience page. The sound design, voice-over recording and mixing was done by SonicPicnic. In addition to the webpage, we have also created a standalone animation based on this storyline.

final result

We were able to deliver a very unique page with next level visuals for Westfalia Fruit. Storytelling was extremely important in both the animation and on the website. Everything is connected in one story, from pit to plate. Check the result!

process

In addition to developing the right visual storytelling, making all assets organically realistic was the biggest challenge in this project. Through extensive research, brainstorming with the customer and their research team, we were able to create amazing next-level visuals with the right technical applications. Including the growing of the seed and tree, the flying and landing of the bee, styling and shaping the dishes and product shots of, among other things, the avocado oil.

outcomes

While content for the sustainability page was the initial request, we were able to provide many more relevant assets. With high-resolution stills for banners, social shorts and a 4k version, Westfalia Fruit has all the resources to tell their story at trade fairs, in sales conversations and online.
