Rijkswaterstaat is the implementing organization of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and works daily to create a safe, livable and accessible Netherlands. Together with others, they are working on a country that is protected against flooding. Where there is plenty of greenery and plenty of clean water. And where you can get from A to B quickly and safely.
Product
As manager of the North Sea and responsible for the infrastructure of the Netherlands, Rijkswaterstaat is a logical partner to set up and operate the North Sea data grid and to support and unburden future users of the information supply in the North Sea. IV op Zee is the chain of building infrastructure and connectivity that makes it possible to collect data by means of sensors to process that data into useful and reliable information.
The goal
To present all plans for the project, two infographics were needed that provide insight into the story to convince decision makers (Coast Guard Council).
Our solution
The Traffic Image at Sea consists of a lot of (complex) information. Our experience has shown that it is important to keep the information understandable and simple. To find out how to visualize this, we first looked for the right story.
final result
In various brainstorms with Rijkswaterstaat, we provided insight into how all elements are interconnected.. We tried to find out what to show to convince the target group of the concept.
process
After determining the correct composition, we examined each component. All elements had to be accurately visualized and composed correctly.
outcomes
The initial request was based on creating infographics for the presentation. In the end, we created a presentation, where each plate and element is built based on the speaker's storyline.
