The makers of The (Any) Thing are the first worldwide to offer today's moviegoers the opportunity to watch the movie they want, when they want, and with whom they want. For the ultimate movie experience, the cinemas feature the latest projection and sound technology.

Product

The (Any) Thing is the world's first on-demand private cinema. It's a boutique movie theater with high-end furniture and on-point styling. Through an App, consumers can rent a private cinema for two people or a small group. With the app, visitors can choose the movie, the day and various settings such as temperature, sound and light.

The goal

The goal was to create an onboarding video that shows users exactly how the process works. That's why a concept was needed that caught the viewer's attention and activated them to keep watching.

Our solution

We started developing different concepts. We presented three of them and also combined them into one main concept with a starring role for the mirrored box. The box represents a cinema where the movie's vibe is shown on the box with projection mapping.

final result

Using texts in this video was crucial, because of the explanation section, but displaying text isometrically on a 2D screen is complex. You can only read the text from one perspective. We made this possible by simulating a 3D space. With three still moments in the video, the texts are readable.

process

Because it was so important to get the viewer's attention and get them interested in watching the entire onboarding video, the concept phase was crucial for this project. We presented various brainstorms and ideas, which were combined into the final concept design.
