The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is one of FIFA's six continental organizations. It represents Europe's national football associations and organizes competitions such as UEFA EURO 2024, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. In addition, UEFA manages the prize money, rules and media rights for these competitions.

Product

The “Get Trained, Save Lives” campaign is an initiative by UEFA and the European Resuscitation Council and will be widely promoted during UEFA EURO 2024. It focuses on the importance of being able to perform CPR. The module is a fast and interactive way to learn the minimal medical skills needed to act in the event of a cardiac arrest.

The goal

The platform had been under development for a while when we were approached by Blickfänger and Golazo Brands to develop an introduction to the platform. An introduction with the aim of creating awareness and showing the viewer the need to learn minimal lifesaving skills by participating in the module.

Our solution

In addition to the introduction, we created additional content for the online CPR training module. By designing and producing different environments, we made it clear that such a situation can occur anytime, anywhere. In addition, we visualized the airflow optimization that is discussed when doing the module.

final result

The animations had to look spectacular to create an appealing introduction to the module. We virtually recreated the environment of the dressing room from the real life footage in the style of the animation, including transitions to the other environments.

process

Animation is perfect for visualizing situations that cannot be filmed. In this case, reference material from someone with a cardiac arrest was difficult to find. The visualization of a heart attack was supposed to be recognisable, but reproducing such a fall is highly complex. With animation, we have made what is happening understandable without making it seem unrealistic.

outcomes

The campaign can be viewed on all UEFA channels, including the website and socials. With EURO 2024 on the way, the campaign will gain even more visibility. UEFA TV commercials are launched around matches that are also visible in and around stadiums.
