Client

The creators of The (Any)Thing are the first worldwide to provide the modern-day moviegoer with the possibility to watch the movie they want, when they want and with whom they want. To have the ultimate movie experience the cinemas are provided with the latest projection- and sound technology.

Product

The(Any)Thing is the first on demand personal cinema in the world. It is a boutique cinema with high-quality furniture and on-point styling. Via an App consumers can rent a private cinema for two persons or a small group. With the app visitors can chose the movie, the day and several settings as temperature, sound and lights.

The goal

The goal was to create an onboarding video that shows users exactly how the process works. Therefore a concept was needed that grabbed the attention of the viewer and activated them to keep watching.

Our solution

We started off with the development of several concepts. We presented three of them and additionally combined them into one main concept with a leading role for the reflective box. The box represents a movie theater where the vibe of the movie is shown on the box with projection mapping.

Final result

The use of texts in this video was crucial, because of the explanation part, but isometrically reflecting text on a 2D screen is complex. You can only read the text from one perspective. Therefore we made it possible by simulating a 3D space. With three still moments in the video, the texts are readable.

Because it was so important to seek the attention of the viewer and have them interest in watching the entire onboarding video, the concepting phase was crucial for this project. We presented several brainstorms and ideas, that were combined into the final concept design.
